Custom Tips
To make sure that your brass name plates will have maximum appearance, longevity and branding power, the following tips are recommended to be reviewed before placing your order:
1. Choose the Right Finish for Your Application
Mirror-polished, brushed and antique finish provide quite different visual effects. Brushed is best with the modern equipment, mirror ideal with the high-end branding, and antique brass with signage and decor.
2. Use Vector Artwork for Precision
To use engraving, etching, or CNC cutting, it is necessary to have AI, PDF, or CAD vectors files. This allows it to have sharp lines, clean edges, and reproduction of text and logos.
3. Confirm Thickness Based on Installation
Adhesive mounting is best done with thin plates (0.3 to 0.8 mm thick) though significantly more substantial heavy plates (1 to 3 mm thick) offer a superior feel and increased wear life in industrial or outdoor applications.
4. Consider Color-Fill Options
In case your design has engraved letters, then you can use black, white or custom Pantone color-fill to enhance the visibility and contrast.
5. Select the Proper Mounting Method
We provide 3M adhesive bond, screw holes, slots, and rounding corners. Please tell us what you are going to put your installation on so we can suggest you the best mounting.
6. Request a Pre-Production Sample When Needed
A sample is advisable in case of high end brands, signage undertakings, or products with distinctive finishes to determine color tone, texture as well as level of engraving.
