Printing & Converting Services
iTrustfab provides integrated printing and converting solutions, including screen printing, digital printing, offset printing, In-Mold Decoration, and precision die cutting. From graphic production to adhesive lamination and final converting, we support custom projects for durable labels, overlays, panels, and other industrial graphic parts.
In-Mold Decoration Service
iTrustfab provides custom In-Mold Decoration (IMD) solutions for plastic parts that require durable, high-quality graphic surfaces. By integrating the graphic layer into the molding process, IMD creates a finish that is more resistant to scratches, wear, chemicals, and fading than traditional surface printing.
Our IMD service is widely used for automotive components, home appliance panels, consumer electronics housings, and industrial control parts. We support projects with multi-color graphics, transparent windows, backlit symbols, and precise surface details, helping customers achieve both functional performance and a premium appearance.
Precision Die Cutting Service
iTrustfab Printing provides precision die cutting services for custom components made from a wide range of materials, including films, foams, foils, tapes, and other flexible substrates, with or without adhesive backing.
We support multiple converting methods such as rotary die cutting, flatbed die cutting, steel rule die cutting, and laser cutting, allowing us to meet different tolerance, shape, and volume requirements. With over 20 years of manufacturing experience, we deliver consistent cutting accuracy, clean edges, and reliable quality for both prototype and production orders.
We offer custom die-cut solutions tailored to specific application needs and serve customers across industries such as electronics, industrial equipment, medical devices, and automotive.
Screen Printing Service
iTrustfab Printing provides custom screen printing services for durable graphic parts used in industrial, electronic, and consumer products. This process is ideal for producing sharp legends, solid colors, warning marks, and brand graphics on a wide range of materials, including plastics, films, glass, metal, and coated substrates.
We use semi-automatic screen printing equipment to ensure stable ink coverage, accurate registration, and consistent print quality across repeated production runs. Screen printing is especially suitable for parts that require strong color performance, wear resistance, and long-term readability in daily use.
With over 20 years of manufacturing experience, iTrustfab supports both sample development and volume production, helping customers achieve reliable printing quality for control panels, graphic overlays, labels, and front panels.
Offset & Digital Printing Service
iTrustfab provides digital printing for short-run, fast-turnaround, and customized projects, making it suitable for samples, variable graphics, and low-volume production. It is commonly used for labels, graphic panels, promotional prints, and packaging-related materials, with support for different colors, designs, and quantity requirements.
For larger-volume orders, we offer offset printing to achieve stable color consistency, sharp image reproduction, and efficient production costs. This process is well suited for graphic overlays, printed sheets, product markings, instruction graphics, and other repeat-order items that require clean detail and uniform quality.
By combining digital and offset printing capabilities, iTrustfab helps customers choose the right process based on artwork complexity, order volume, lead time, and cost targets.
Steps to Custom Printing & Converting Services
Artwork Review
We begin by reviewing the customer’s artwork, confirming finished dimensions, bleed area, die line positions, color mode (Pantone / CMYK), font outlines, line thickness, transparent window areas, and registration alignment. This helps prevent issues such as misalignment, unreadable fine text, color deviation, or conflicts with downstream processing.
Material Verification
Based on the application, we confirm suitable substrates such as PET, PC, PVC, paper, synthetic paper, or other printable materials. We also verify material thickness, surface finish (gloss / matte / textured), transparency requirements, temperature resistance, and adhesive backing, ensuring compatibility with real usage conditions.
Color Proofing & Printing
Before mass production, samples or first articles are checked for color accuracy, text clarity, fine line reproduction, small text readability, solid color consistency, and multi-color registration precision. During production, we select digital or offset printing based on order requirements, controlling defects such as color variation, dirt, missing print, ghosting, ink streaking, and layout misalignment.
Finishing & Adhesive Lamination
If required, additional processes such as lamination, varnishing, protective coating, or adhesive lamination are applied. During adhesive application, we inspect for flatness, air bubbles, wrinkles, edge lifting, misalignment, or adhesive overflow, and select adhesive types based on the application environment.
Die Cutting & Converting
Products are die cut according to drawings, including kiss cutting, through cutting, and waste removal. We control dimensional tolerance, corner transitions, hole accuracy, edge cleanliness, and waste separation quality. For products with transparent windows, functional cutouts, or multi-layer structures, we also verify layer-to-layer alignment to ensure proper assembly and use.
Final Inspection & QC
Finished products undergo comprehensive inspection, including dimension measurement, color comparison, print registration check, surface appearance inspection, adhesion testing, scratch resistance testing, and initial tack testing. We also check for defects such as scratches, dents, ink contamination, foreign particles, burrs, edge lifting, incomplete cuts, or quantity discrepancies before packaging and shipment.
Printing & Converting FAQs
Which process should I choose (IMD, screen, digital, or offset)?
- IMD: best for plastic parts requiring scratch/chemical resistance and embedded graphics
- Screen printing: ideal for thick ink layers, high opacity, and outdoor durability
- Digital printing: suitable for small batches, variable data, fast turnaround
- Offset printing: best for large volume with tight color consistency and lower unit cost
What file setup do you require before production?
We require AI/PDF with: bleed (≥2–3 mm), outlined fonts, separate layers, defined die lines, and Pantone/CMYK specified.
Minimum line width: ≥0.15 mm; minimum text size: ≥5–6 pt (depending on material).
How accurate is your color matching?
- Pantone matching available
- Typical tolerance: ΔE ≤ 2–3 (depending on substrate)
- For critical colors, we provide printed samples for approval before mass production
What printing and cutting tolerances can you achieve?
- Print registration: ±0.1–0.2 mm
- Die cutting tolerance: ±0.1–0.3 mm (depends on material thickness)
- Hole/slot alignment controlled to ensure fit with panels or housings
What adhesive options do you provide?
We use 3M or equivalent adhesives based on application:
- Acrylic adhesive: long-term, temperature resistant
- Rubber adhesive: strong initial tack
We also consider surface energy (plastic/metal), temperature, and outdoor exposure.
Can you handle multi-layer or functional structures?
Yes, we produce multi-layer constructions such as:
- Printed layer + adhesive + backing
- Transparent windows + blocking layers
- Spacer or foam layers for functional parts
What defects do you control during production?
We inspect for:
- color variation / misregistration / ink voids
- scratches / dust / contamination
- burrs / incomplete cuts / edge lifting
- adhesive bubbles / misalignment / overflow
What is your typical lead time?
- Samples: 3–5 days
- Mass production: 7–15 days (depending on process & quantity)
Can you help optimize my design for production?
Yes. We review for:
- line thickness / spacing / layer structure
- material compatibility / manufacturability
- cost optimization (process selection)
