Q1: Do you work in a manufacturing or trade company?

A1: We are a direct manufacturer that has a 15 plus years experience with FPC membrane switches, graphic overlays, circuits, and assembly services. Printing, FPC production, laser cutting, embossing and final assembly are all done in-house to ensure a stable quality and quick delivery.

Q2: What do I have to give information in order to have a quotation?

A2: In order to provide a proper quote, please provide:

  • Drawn or design file (AI, PDF, CAD, Gerber)
  • Circuit layout or schematic
  • Tail length, type of pitch and connector specifications
  • Specifications of material (PET/FPC, type of top overlay, type of adhesive)
  • If any, LED indicator requirements
  • Predicted amount and place of usage

Q3: Will you be able to make according to my samples or technical drawings?

A3: Yes. We might reverse-engineer your samples or trace your engineering drawings to make sure that it is the correct size, a certain feel and that the circuit works.

Q4: What is your sample policy?

A4:

  • Existing samples: Free (freight prepaid)
  • Custom samples: Charged based on FPC layers, printing colors, embossing, LED integration, and connector type

Custom production is done with the similar materials and processes as mass production.

Q5: How small is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

A5: MOQ of FPC membrane switches beginning at 50 -100 pcs depending on the complexity of the structure.
Our primary position is in favor of flexible MOQ in engineering testing and prototype projects in small batches.

Q6: How long is your average lead time in production?

A6:

  • Normal FPC switch membrane: 7- 12 days.
  • Multiplexed structures containing metal domes, LEDs, embossing or shielding layers: 10 -15 days

Q7: What is your quality/functional assessment?

A7: We conduct complete inspection namely:

  • Circuit continuity resistance testing
  • Testing of dome switch tactile force
  • Tail line pitch chk. & connector fitment check
  • Surface adhesion, printing and color accuracy test
  • Flexibility and bending of FPC test

Inspections are 100 percent function tested packaged switches.

Q8: What are your connector and tail support?

A8: We are able to make FPC tails of:

  • 1.0mm / 1.25mm / 2.54mm pitch
  • ZIF or solder pads or custom connectors
  • Gold-plated, carbon printed or UV conductive ink

Custom Tips

In order to make sure that your FPC membrane switch meets the maximum performance, the longest life, and compatibility with the device that you are designing, please take into consideration following tips prior to placing your order:

1. Give Finished Engineering Files to Help in Perfect Manufacture

Membrane switches of FPC require accurate circuit design. AI, PDF, CAD, or Gerber files, layer instructions, tail direction, pin assignment and connector type are also required.

2. Authentication of Tail Length, Pitch and Connector Compatibility

The tail requirements depend on devices. The tail length, number of pins, pitch (1.0mm / 1.25mm / 2.54mm), and either gold finger pads or carbon ink pads or ZIF connectors must be specified to be able to fit PCB.

3. Choose the Fitting Overlay Material and Finish

Overlays Polycarbonate (PC) are good in tactile keys, whereas PET overlays are better in terms of chemical resistance. Finishes selection may be either matte, gloss, anti-glare, textured or UV-resistant depending on how it is going to be used.

4. Establ Tactile Needs at an Early Stage

When you need metal domes, emboss, a non-tactile key, be sure to specify the tactile force range (ex. 160g / 220g) and emboss height to obtain the appropriate button feel.

5. Mark Check LED, Backlight or Shielding Requirements

In case of indicator LEDs, side LEDs, EL backlight or EMI/RFI shielding, please provide detailed positions and voltage requirements to enable us to incorporate them into the FPC design in a manner that does not cause problems in the FPC design.

6. State Operating Environment and Durability Conditions

In order to advise you on the right materials and adhesive layers, tell us whether your product needs waterproofing, UV, alcohol/oil, or high-flex FPC bending or not.

7. Request a Prototype for Complex or Multi-Layer Structures

FPC membrane switches with multiple layers, metal domes, windows, embossing, or integrated LEDs benefit greatly from a pre-production prototype to confirm fit, tactile response, and connector alignment.
