Order FAQs
Q1: What are the key advantages of stainless steel name plates compared to other materials?
A1: Stainless steel name plates will have an outstanding corrosion resistance, scratch resistance, and longevity- perfect in any case, outside, industrial, or high-wear setting. Their metallic surfaces are also smooth and improve professionalism of the brand and their appearance during long usage.
Q2: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for stainless steel name plates?
A2: We will have a minimum order quantity of 100 units per design, which can be used in testing designs in small batches or in large quantities. We offer preferential pricing when we receive orders above 500 pieces, and we are able to change MOQ in case of special projects that have special requirements.
Q3: What file formats do you accept for custom designs?
A3: We take high-resolution vectors (AI, PDF, CorelDRAW, CAD) to allow processing accurately. Where you are using bitmap files (PNG, JPG) make sure they are 300 DPI or more otherwise they can be distorted. In text only designs, you can give font names, font sizes and font sizes.
Q4: Can I get a pre-production sample to check quality?
A4: Yes, we have pre-production samples which can ensure the accuracy of engraving/etching and the finish and accuracy in design. Sample lead-time is 3-5 working days and sample cost is fully refundable when your bulk order clears our MOQ.
Q5: What processing techniques are available for stainless steel name plates?
A5: We accept etching wherein designs require minute details like serial numbers or fine logos, engraving for deep and permanent marks, screen printing when the design needs to have vibrant colors, and embossing when 3D raised tactiles are required. Stainless steel should be etched in order to maintain the integrity of the material and at the same time to remain clear of details.
Q6: What is the lead time for mass production?
A6: Mass production The lead time is 7-15 working days based on the quantity of order and complexity of processing. In the case of expedited production, we will provide a 3-7 working day turnaround and delivery–all you need to do is to tell us when the order is due.
Q7: Do you support custom sizes, shapes, and finishes?
A7: Absolutely. We make sizes (1cmx1cm or 50cmx30cm or whatever), shapes (circular, rectangular, irregular, etc.). There are brushed (fingerprint resistant), polished (reflective), and matte (anti-glare) finishes. Give your design or dimension requirement of a custom solution.
Q8: What shipping methods are available, and how can I track my order?
A8: We provide express (DHL/ FedEx/ UPS), air, and sea transportation. Express shipment is between 3-7 working days worldwide, and air/sea is the best mode of shipment when ordering in large quantities. Once the shipment has been made, a tracking number is provided to you through email and through which you can keep track of the order status on a real-time basis.
Custom Tips
In order to make sure that your stainless steel name plates would be as precise, long-lasting and branding as possible, the following are important guidelines to be considered:
1. Artwork & Design Precision
Give high-resolution vectors (AI, PDF, CorelDRAW, CAD) to be sharpened-do not use low-resolution bitmaps (less than 300 DPI) or every small part of the image will be blurred. Text must be no less than 6pt (1.8mm) and the thickness of lines more than 0.2mm; finer logos must be outlined clearly to allow easy etching/engraving.
2. Processing Technique Selection
Choose etching for fine, detailed patterns (serial numbers, delicate logos) since it preserves the structural integrity of the stainless steel. Choose engraving for deep, long-lasting marks (high-wear surfaces like industrial equipment). Use screen printing only if vibrant colors are needed—pair with a clear protective coat to avoid fading.
3. Size & Shape Considerations
The custom sizes vary between 1cm×1cm and 50cm×30cm. Confirm the final size fits in your installation space, with 1–2mm left over for mounting. Add rounded corners, radius ≥0.5mm, to avoid sharp edges on handheld or consumer-facing products. Avoid overly complex irregular shapes for small plates (under 5cmx5cm) to prevent material weakening.
4. Finish & Protection
Choose fingerprint resistant finish (brushed finish is best on heavy-traffic surfaces). Select smooth finish of a smooth reflective surface (premium branding). Select matte finish to minimize glare (outside or bright locations). In the case of outdoor/harsh environment, ask clear epoxy or lacquer to increase the resistance of corrosion and eliminate tarnishing.
5. Mounting Preparation
Pre-specify how to mount: holes drilled, 3M adhesive proof of high adhesion, or screws. In case of drilled holes, they should not be too close to the edges so that they do not crack. Make sure the surface to which the application will be mounted is clean (dust-free, oil-free) to adhesive mounting, stainless steel sticks best to smooth and non-porous surfaces.
6. Color & Contrast Enhancement
To make it easier to read, apply contrast fill-in paint (epoxy or enamel) to engraved/etched details (e.g. black text on brushed stainless steel). Light fills should not be put on finishes that are polished since they can easily become worn. To ensure branding consistency, identify Pantone colors to be used in screen printing or fill paints.
7. Thickness Selection
Selection of thickness depending on application: 0.3-0.5mm to make lightweight (electronics, small devices); 0.8-1.2mm to be durable (industrial equipment, outdoors); 1.5mm or more to be heavy-duty or standalone name plate. The thicker materials might need to be adjusted to have their processing time to be adjusted in order to engrave/etch accurately.
8. Batch & Quality Consistency
In case of ordering many batches, give a master sample to ensure consistency in finish, depth of the engraving and colour. To be used with sequential numbering or barcoding, share the format (alphanumeric, QR code) and starting point in order to make sure that all the units are correctly and uniformly marked.
