Service FAQs
Q: Which process should I use for my part: IMD, screen printing, digital printing, or offset printing?
A: It depends on the product function, material, durability requirement, and order quantity. IMD is suitable for plastic parts that require embedded graphics and better resistance to scratches and chemicals. Screen printing is ideal for thick ink layers, high opacity, and durable graphics. Digital printing is suitable for small batches, variable designs, and fast turnaround. Offset printing is more suitable for larger-volume orders with better color consistency and lower unit cost.
Q: Can you produce based on our drawing, sample, or existing part?
A: Yes. We can work from drawings, samples, photos, or existing parts. If your file is incomplete, we can also help review the structure and recommend a suitable material, printing process, adhesive construction, or cutting method before production.
Q: What file setup do you require before production?
A: We normally prefer AI or PDF files with bleed, outlined fonts, separate layers, defined die lines, and Pantone or CMYK information. If needed, we can also work with PSD, CDR, DWG, DXF, STEP, or high-resolution JPG files depending on the product type and project stage.
Q: Can you help review or optimize our design before production?
A: Yes. We can review your design for line thickness, spacing, layer structure, material compatibility, manufacturability, and process selection. This helps reduce production risk and avoid issues such as unclear windows, unsuitable materials, weak bonding, or difficult die-cut structures.
Q: What materials do you normally use for these services?
A: We work with a wide range of materials, including PET, PC, PVC, acrylic, films, foams, adhesive tapes, aluminum, stainless steel, and other printable or die-cut substrates. Material selection depends on the product type, durability requirement, surface condition, and usage environment.
Q: Can you match our colors, logos, and appearance requirements accurately?
A: Yes. We can produce according to approved artwork, Pantone references, CMYK files, samples, or existing parts. For projects with strict appearance requirements, we recommend printed sample approval before mass production to confirm the color, layout, and visual effect.
Q: What printing and cutting accuracy can you control?
A: We control key points such as print registration, die-cut alignment, hole and slot positioning, and overall structural fit to ensure the finished parts match the approved design and fit properly with panels, housings, or assemblies. Specific tolerances can be confirmed based on material, thickness, and part structure.
Q: Can you make transparent windows, embossed buttons, backlit areas, or multi-layer structures?
A: Yes. We support functional and decorative features such as transparent windows, tinted windows, dead-front effects, backlit icons, embossed buttons, custom holes, cutouts, and multi-layer constructions. These may include structures such as printed layer + adhesive + backing, transparent window + blocking layer, or spacer / foam layers for functional parts.
Q: Can you provide adhesive backing, and how do you choose the right adhesive?
A: Yes. We provide 3M or equivalent industrial adhesive options and select the adhesive based on the application surface, bonding area, temperature, environment, and long-term reliability requirements. For surfaces such as textured plastics, curved housings, metals, or low-surface-energy materials, we can recommend a more suitable adhesive construction.
Q: What defects do you control during production?
A: We inspect for key quality risks such as color variation, misregistration, ink voids, scratches, dust, contamination, burrs, incomplete cuts, edge lifting, adhesive bubbles, misalignment, and adhesive overflow. For different products, we also check appearance, structural consistency, and finishing details before shipment.
Q: Can you support both samples and mass production?
A: Yes. We support both sample development and volume production. Whether you need an early prototype for evaluation or stable production for repeat orders, we can recommend a suitable process based on your quantity, structure, and application.
Q: What information do you need for quotation and lead time evaluation?
A: For faster quotation, please provide product size, material, thickness, artwork, quantity, application environment, adhesive requirement, and any special features such as windows, embossing, backlighting, holes, or custom shapes. Lead time depends on the process, material readiness, and order quantity, so it is best to share your target schedule in advance.

Q: Which product is best for my application: graphic overlay, membrane switch, front panel, nameplate, domed sticker, or custom label?
It depends on the required function and usage environment. Graphic overlays are mainly used for printed graphics and surface protection, membrane switches are for user input and control interfaces, front panels combine appearance with functional labeling, nameplates are used for branding and identification, domed stickers are suitable for raised logo labels, and custom labels are commonly used for warning, instruction, or variable information. We can recommend the most suitable structure based on your application.
Q: What materials do you normally use, and how do you choose the right one?
Common materials include PET, PC, PVC, acrylic, aluminum, stainless steel, and adhesive-backed films. Material selection depends on factors such as surface use, flexibility, transparency, durability, temperature, chemical exposure, and outdoor conditions.
Q: Can you make transparent windows, tinted windows, dead-front effects, or backlit areas?
Yes. We can produce parts with clear display windows, tinted windows, LED windows, dead-front effects, and backlit icon areas, which are widely used in overlays, front panels, and membrane switch products.
Q: Can you make embossed buttons or tactile key structures?
Yes. For overlays and membrane switches, we can provide button embossing, rim embossing, pillow embossing, and tactile structures according to the design and touch requirements.
Q: Can you add adhesive backing, and how do you choose the right adhesive?
Yes. We provide 3M or equivalent industrial adhesive options and select the adhesive based on surface material, bonding area, application environment, temperature, and long-term reliability requirements.
Q: Will the adhesive work on textured, curved, metal, or low-surface-energy plastic surfaces?
Adhesive performance depends on the application surface. For surfaces such as powder-coated metal, textured plastic, curved housings, or low-surface-energy plastics, we can recommend a more suitable adhesive construction or suggest testing before mass production.
